NUOVINOX is a composite steel, composed of a carbon steel core that is
cladded with stainless steel. NUOVINOX, employs a patented manufacturing
process that metallurgically bonds ordinary steel and stainless steel.
It can be characterized as a composite material with identical
properties to stainless steel, but with a 30% higher design stress than
stainless steel, and at a price 40-50% lower than hot-rolled stainless
steel.
NUOVINOX has the following properties & characteristics
- High level of corrosion resistance
- Stronger than austenitic stainless steel
- Aesthetic appeal of stainless steel
- Strength and ductility superior to mild steel
- Minimal maintenance when incorporated in structures
- Can be formed up to 180 degrees without integrity of the cladding
being broken
